On 24th & 25th November, Prince Harry will visit Saint Lucia as part of his 14 day Royal visit to the Caribbean, on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen.
Prince Harry will carry out a number of fun engagements in Saint Lucia from watching an exhibition cricket match with Daren Sammy, to meeting inspiring young local people and enjoying a Caribbean style street party in Soufriere.
Past Royal Visits
The first ever Royal visit to Saint Lucia was from the Queen in 1966 on her tour of the Caribbean Commonwealth countries. The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh enjoyed traditional dancing and steel band music on board HMY Britannia and watched a fireworks display from Point Seraphine (www.royal.uk).
The Earl and Countess of Wessex (Prince Charles and Camilla) visited the island in 2008 and toured the beautiful Soufriere area home to the iconic Piton Mountains. The couple learnt more about our rich chocolate heritage by engaging in Cocoa Harvesting, Cocoa Drying, and Cocoa Grinding and of course tasting the final product at Fond Doux Plantation. Prince Charles and Camilla also visited Hotel Chocolat and helped break the ground for their now established chocolate factory.
Prince Harry is visiting both the North and South of the island which offer quite different and unique experiences for visitors to Saint Lucia.
Why not follow in his footsteps and spend some time in the north experiencing the night life of Rodney Bay Village with its numerous restaurants, bars and casino as well as the Friday night place to be at Gros Islet 'Jump Up'.street party. The north also has a wide range of diverse accommodation with great beaches and cultural tours. The South has a more relaxed vibe and is home to the iconic Piton Mountains, the Caribbean's only drive in volcano, cocoa plantations and other natural attractions.
Experience the delights of the North and South of the island with this great offer:
