The Great Saint Lucia Bake Off
Calling all bakers (and lovers of chocolate!), in celebration of Chocolate Heritage Month, we are giving away some fabulous chocolate goodies courtesy of Hotel Chocolat.
Fantastic chocolate prizes to give away:
We are giving away 3 x delicious Sleekster chocolate boxes with a 'New Ways to Cook with Chocolate' Cookbook courtesy of Hotel Chocolat.
Hotel Chocolat has a Cocoa Estate in Saint Lucia and offers tours and the chance to make your very own chocolate during their Bean to Bar Experience!
What you need to do to win
We would like you to create a cake symbolising our beautiful island of Saint Lucia using chocolate as the star ingredient. We want you to give the cake a name, describe/draw how it would look and tell us what additional ingredients you would use and why.
The best ideas/creations posted on our Facebook page or Twitter page using hashtag #CocoaLoco will win a one of several chocolate prizes up for grabs. You don’t have to bake the cake to be able to enter (but extra brownie points if you do!).

Saint Lucia is filled with culinary delights
- Learn to cook like a 'Lucian'
Apart from the delicious chocolate, Saint Lucia also offers other culinary delights with influences from Europe, the Caribbean, West Africa and India. Why not learn to cook like a 'Lucian' with a number of classes available from Spices Cooking Studio, Cook Like a Lucian or Flavours of St Lucia.
- Unique dining experiences
Imagine, being served the catch of the day with a glass of wine whilst watching the sun setting over the majestic Piton Mountains. How about a private dining area in the Caribbean sea decorated in candles with a mini zip-line delivering chilled champagne to you and your loved one? These are just some of the many unique dining experiences you can enjoy on island. Also, do not miss the Friday night street parties in Gros Islet and Anse La Raye with its local food stalls plating up tasty BBQ chicken and bakes.
